The vice-president of the National Chamber of Manufacturers of School Notebooks, Samir Mouelhi, assured Wednesday August 20, 2025 that the prices of subsidized school notebooks have not changed for six years, while non-subsidized notebooks are experiencing a slight decrease thanks to the decline in paper prices on the world market.
Guest of the show Ahla Sbeh on Mosaic FM, Samir Mouelhi recalled that the prices of subsidized and numbered notebooks have been unchanged for about six years: the 24 -page notebook is 430 millimes; that of 48 pages at 930 millimes; And that of 72 pages is 1400 millimes.
5000 tonnes of notebooks
He said that the National Cellulose and Alfa paper company has already distributed 2,000 tonnes of notebooks out of a total of 5,000 tonnes, while the Ministry of Commerce increased the endowment of subsidized notebooks this year, compared to 4,000 in 2024, an increase of 25% to cover the needs of the start of the school year.
Regarding non -subsidized notebooks, Mouelhi said they are available in large quantities, at lower prices than those last year. This drop is awarded to the joint efforts of industrialists, booksellers and the decrease in international paper prices.
95% of national notebooks
He added that 95% of the notebooks available on the market are of national origin, produced by Tunisian companies which are distinguished by the quality of their manufacture and already export to European and African countries.
