A drama occurred Thursday evening in the locality of El Amria, in Ben Guerdane (governorate of Médenine). During a wedding ceremony, an accidental shot at the hunting rifle injured several people and caused the groom’s death, transforming the party into a tragedy.
According to witnesses, a guest made use of his hunting rifle during the nuptial procession. The shot, who has been mistaken, has reached several people. The groom was seriously injured and transported urgently to the regional hospital in Ben Guerdane, where he died of his injuries, reports Mosaique FM.
The incident plunged the festivities in dismay, turning the event from joy to mourning.
The Médenine prosecution immediately ordered the opening of an investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the accident. The body of the deceased was transferred to the morgue of the regional autopsy hospital.
