On the sidelines of its final lost yesterday against the world number 1 IGA Swiatek at the WTA 1000 tournament in Rome, Ons Jabeur, classified 7th in the world, climbed 6th in the WTA ranking updated today, Monday, May 16, 2022.

This is her best ranking when in December 2020, she was still in 31st position. After her success in Madrid, the Tunisian had regained her 7th place in the world which she had reached in November 2021.

The Tunisian is gradually approaching the world top5 and she has only a delay of only 66 points from the 5th WTA, the Estonian Anett Kontaveit and 531 points of the Czech Barbora Krejčíková, currently 2nd in the world. IGA Swiatek, in mind, remains unbeatable with 7060 points.

Classified beyond 200th place (251st) in 2012, the Tunisian joined the Top 100 in 2017, the Top 50 in 2020 and the Top 10 in 2021…

In December 2020, she was still in 31st position in the WTA ranking, but has since stopped raising her level and has become one of the major actresses in world tennis.

In June 2021, Ons Jabeur was able to find 24th in the world, although failed at the doors of the quarter-finals in Roland-Garros by losing in the round of 16. In fact, since his quarter -final at the Australian Open in 2020, Ons Jabeur has continued to evolve in his game.

Supported by her sponsors including Tunisie Telecom, she has now placed the bar very high. Ons Jabeur has always proclaimed her loud and clear, she has a dream, that of becoming a world n ° 1 and especially to win a Grand Slam title.
