Italy has recorded 427 new deaths in 24 hours, which has been the number of deaths in this country since the start of the coronavirus epidemic at 3,405 deaths, according to a new assessment published this Thursday, March 19 by civil protection.
Italy thus becomes the first country in the world in terms of the number of deaths due to this virus, ahead of China, which recorded 3,245 deaths.
Civil Protection Head, Angelo Borelli, said at a press conference that the number of Italian patients affected by the coronavirus reached 41,035.
