The 15,000 dead mark crossed, including more than 5,000 in Italy

The 15,000 death mark due to the coronavirus was exceeded this Monday, March 23, 2020, according to the counting made by Bloomberg.

The number of deaths due to the coronavirus reached 15,104 in the world, while more than 340.00 people were contaminated by the COVID-19, which appeared in December in China and which affects more than 160 countries.

The greatest number of people who died are in Italy with 5,476 dead for 59,138 contaminated people. In just 24 hours, 651 people with coronavirus died in Italy.

China has 3,270 deaths for 81,093 contaminations. In third position we find Spain with 2182 deaths for 33,089 contaminated people.

Note that Europe has become the continent where the pandemic increases the fastest with more than 9,000 deaths, including 1400 new dead in the past 24 hours for a total of 172,000 cases of contamination.
