The fencer Farès Ferjani won the gold medal in the individual saber test, on the second day of the African fencing championships (June 15 – 19 in Casablanca).
The Tunisian beat the Egyptian Moataz Medhat in the final by succeeding in a comeback which allowed him to catch up with 9 points to tear the victory by 15-14.
In addition to this gold medal, the bronze medal of the event returned to the Tunisian Ahmed Ferjani.
