After several hours of agony, the 15 -year -old elephant succumbed to his injuries in a river.
The authorities investigate to determine the exact circumstances of the death of the elephant and the central government promised to “neglect any track” to find the people behind this act.
This Friday, June 5, 2020, Indian police arrested a man accused of having caused the death of the pachyderm. An investigation was opened to find out if it is a poacher or a farmer who wanted to kill the elephant to prevent him from damaging his cultures.
