The Franco-Tunisian Yasmine Bouaga was elected mayor of the 1st arrondissement of Lyon, after the municipal elections recently held in France.
The two lists qualified in these elections had merged, the 4th of the list, Yasmine Bouagga, will therefore be the mayor of the 1st arrondissement of Lyon, because the other heads of the list have been responsible for responsibilities in particular within the firm of the ecologist mayor of Lyon, Grégory Doucet.
“In the space of a few days, Yasmine Bouagga has become a symbol for Lyon environmentalists. A symbol of victory, in particular, since hers is already acquired: at the head of the only list presenting in the first arrondissement of Lyon for the second round of the municipal elections, Yasmine Bouagga is therefore guaranteed to become the next mayor, under the EELV label. A victory heavy with meaning, in this district historically acquired on the left, nourished by protests and alternative imaginary, “explains in this sense the local media Basta.
