France officially informed, this Wednesday, July 1, NATO that it suspended its participation in a naval operation in the Mediterranean after the results of an investigation into an incident between French and Turkish warships.

Quoted by Reuters, an official at the French Ministry of Defense declared that France had asked four times to clarify the role of the Sea Guardian operation, including its cooperation with an EU mission which applies an arms embargo on arms in Libya.

France has accused the Turkish navy of having a “hostile and unacceptable” behavior leading to the efforts to implement the UN embargo on arms to Libya.

France has embarked on a media and diplomatic war against Turkey because of its policy adopted in Libya.

After condemning the “dangerous game” of Turkey in Libya during his interview with the head of state Kais Saied, the French president Emmanuel Macron once again attacked the policy of Erdogan in Libya. “We are at a time of essential Clarification of Turkish policy in Libya, which is unacceptable for us,” he said, quoted by the French media.

Emmanuel Macron accused Monday, June 29, in Meseberg, in Germany, Turkey, in Meseberg of having in the Libyan conflict a “historic and criminal responsibility” as a country which “claims to be a member of NATO, in any case it claims it”.
