Sfax governor Fakher Fakhfakh expressed his desire to bring a Chinese investor to build a stadium in Sfax within one year, during a meeting, held this Tuesday, July 5, 2022, with the Minister of Youth and Sports, Kamel Deguiche, and the president of the CSS, Moncef Sallemi.
Fakher Fakhfakh indicated, in a declaration relayed by Diwan FM, that he has a complete project concerning the construction of a new stadium in Sfax, adding that the State may reimburse the costs of this project by tranches after its approval.
For his part, the Minister of Youth and Sports indicated that studies for the expansion of the Taieb Mhiri stadium will be completed in 2023, and that the work will begin in 2024.
