The Libyan Parliament has announced its agreement for an Egyptian military intervention “in the light of Turkish interference and the violation of Libya’s sovereignty with the blessing of armed militias”.
In a statement published yesterday, Monday, July 13, 2020, the Tobrouk Parliament called on the Egyptian armed forces to intervene to protect the Libyan and Egyptian national security, if it sees an imminent danger that can affect the two countries.
In this sense, he affirmed the strategic depth that unites Egypt and Libya at all levels, highlighting the direct threats posed by “Turkish occupation” in Libya and neighboring countries, in particular Egypt.
