Abdessalem Laâyouni failed in the 800-meter semi-finals and was unable to access the final by finishing 6th in his series with a time of 1:46:08 during the qualifying race for the final of the world athletics championships, which take place from July 15 to 24 in Eugene, in the United States.
Laâyouni had been able to access the semi-final by finishing 3rd in her series with a time of 1:46:59.
Recall that Maroua Bouzayani, who qualified, on Saturday, in the final of the 3000 meter Steeple finished 9th in this final with a time of 09:20:92.
