The Eiffel Tower was evacuated, in the morning of this Wednesday, September 23, 2020, after a bomb alert.
The alert was launched by the police reporting a bomb while checks are underway after an anonymous appeal reporting that a bomb had been filed.
“Around 11 am, the police received an anonymous phone call, explaining that a bomb had been deposited in the building. (…) The monument was evacuated from noon, on -site checks are underway, ”reports Le Parisien.
According to Sputnik who is based on a police source, a person who would have yelled “Allahu Akbar” and threatened to “blow everything up” was reported in the Eiffel Tower.
All the surroundings of the Eiffel Tower have been closed to traffic and completed by the police.
