A warrant of deposit was issued against the international basketball player Salah Mejri, yesterday Tuesday, July 26, 2022, by the public prosecutor near the tribunal de first instance of Jendouba against the backdrop of a case of damage to the police.
On social networks a large solidarity campaign was launched calling to release the former basketball star. The hashtag Sayeb_salah has indeed been published by many Internet users to request the release of the former Tunisian international.
The Tunisian basketball federation also joined this campaign calling for the authorities to end these legal proceedings.
The former Tunisian Basketball Star Salah Mejri was recently arrested by the police in Jendouba.
According to a judicial source which was expressed at the microphone of Shems FM, the former basketball player was spotted driving in a “crazy” manner his car and refused to comply after a road check.
Once arrested by a patrol, Mejri entered a hysterical state and has infringed the police, also explained the same source.
