Emmanuel Macron thus decided to take different measures such as a curfew or the return to the state of health emergency.
He announced a “night confinement” between 9 p.m. and 06 a.m. in the most affected areas from this Saturday, October 16.
The Ile-de-France region and the metropolitan areas of Grenoble, Lille, Lyon, Aix-Marseille, Montpellier, Rouen, Toulouse and Saint-Etienne are concerned.
“The goal is to limit the moments when we risk infected because we will be too close to each other. It is a relevant measure which has made it possible to slow down the circulation of the virus in Guyana, “he said.
The curfew will be in force for 4 weeks, but could be extended. The workers will not, however, be affected by this curfew.
“Controls will be set up and a fine of 135 euros will be given to people who do not respect these measures …”, he added.
