The African Football Confederation said on Monday 08 August, that CAF president, Patrice Word, will officially announce the launch of the African Super League on August 10, 2022.
The launch will be broadcast live from Arusha (Tanzania) on different social networks and CAF streaming platforms.
“Since the announcement of the launch by the president of CAF last July, the wait begins to be felt. Africa is preparing for a new era that will forever change the face of its football and the economic fortunes of the continent, “said the CAF press release.
This new competition, which will bring together the 24 best classified African clubs, will have a record allocation of $ 100 million.
