Everyone is looking forward to the production of a coronavirus vaccine. In view of the latest information, the British is the closest to produce this vaccine.
Yesterday Monday, October 27, the Anglo-Swedish pharmaceutical laboratory Astrazeneca announced good news. His vaccine being developed against COVID-19 led to an encouraging immune response to the patients tested.
According to the AFP agency, an Astrazeneca spokesperson stresses that these immune responses are “similar between the elderly and the young adults”.
“The results fuel evidence regarding the security and immune response” of the vaccine, according to the group. The University of Oxford, also involved in this project, specifies that this data comes from the first so -called phase 2 clinical trials.
The vaccine is currently at the phase 3 clinical trials stage, the stage preceding its authorization by the authorities.
A few days ago, the Minister of Health, Faouzi Mehdi, confirmed that Tunisia will be among the first three countries to acquire this vaccine, adding that Tunisia allocated the funds necessary for the acquisition of vaccines.
At a weekly press conference of the Ministry of Health, he returned to the issue, insisting that “Tunisia will be among the first countries to receive the first doses of the coronavirus vaccine”.
“Tunisia has coordinated with the World Health Organization and donors and mobilized the funds necessary to receive the Coronavirus vaccine as soon as it put on the market,” he said this Wednesday, October 21, 2020.
Tunisia would be registered among the ten countries benefiting from the support granted by the World Bank to developing countries, to finance the purchase and distribution of vaccines, tests and treatment against the coronavirus.
