Tunisia firmly condemned the terrorist attack perpetrated Thursday morning in Nice.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed its solidarity with the Government and the French friend, offering the most sincere condolences to the families of the victims.

Tunisia has also renewed its total rejection of all forms of terrorism, extremism and violence whatever its form, calling for the need to maintain religion away from this scourge because it is a transnational phenomenon without religion, sex or race.

The ministry stressed the importance of concentrating all regional and international efforts to combat terrorism and extremism and prevent violence.

For its part, the Assembly of People’s Representatives (ARP) firmly condemned “the criminal operation” in Nice, expressing its solidarity with the families of the victims.

He also renewed his condemnation of all terrorist attacks that sow terror and destruction and kill innocent lives in the name of religion, race and racism.

The Parliament said that this terrorist operation would not affect long -standing historical relations between the two countries and the Tunisian and French peoples, and whatever the nationality of the author of the attack, it represents neither Tunisians nor all Muslims.

The presidency of the ARP also affirmed the conviction that this process will have no impact on Tunisians who have lived in France for decades and have always proven that they are peaceful and that they are a force of good and work.

She stressed that terrorism is a criminal act which has neither religion, nor language, nor nationality, and which aims at the safety and security of all, denouncing any link between these criminal acts and the Islamic religion based on the principles of tolerance and human coexistence and the values of fraternity and love between all peoples without distinction of religion and race.
