The public prosecutor at the judicial center fighting against terrorism ordered the opening of an investigation to know the whole truth about the existence of the terrorist group “Al Mahdi in the South Tunisian” and its involvement in the terrorist attack perpetrated Thursday in Nice.
Mohsen Dali, head of the information and communication office and substitute for the prosecutor of the Tunis court of first instance, confirmed, this Friday, October 30 at the TAP agency, the opening of a judicial investigation which comes after the publication of a demand on social networks by a person claiming to belong to this organization.
According to Dali, the investigation will focus in particular on the degree of involvement of this organization in the terrorist attack of Nice and its activities.
Yesterday, the public prosecutor near the judicial center fighting against terrorism ordered, the opening of judicial information against any person who would be involved in a murder or in terrorist crimes, and this following the Nice attack, whose assailant is Tunisian.
“This legal action comes in application of article 83 of the organic law relating to the fight against terrorism and money laundering,” said Mohsen Dali, adding that this “will allow the court of first instance to examine the terrorist crimes committed outside the national territory and against Tunisian persons and interests”.
