A week after the announcement made by Pfizer/BionTech, the American biotechnology company Moderna announced that its coronavirus vaccine has proven to be 94.5% effective to prevent contamination.
“This positive interim analysis resulting from our phase 3 trial gives us the first clinical indications that our vaccine can prevent COVVI-19 disease, including the serious form,” says Stéphane Bancel, Moderna boss.
According to the American company, around 9 to 10 % of vaccinated people had light side effects such as fatigue, aches, or redness around the injection point.
Recall that the Pfizer vaccine has an efficiency of 90 % while the Russian vaccine SPUTNIK V of 92 %.
