The first lots of the Russian vaccine Spoutnik V arrived this Wednesday, February 17, at the Gaza Strip in Palestine.
Indeed, after several months of restrictions imposed by the Zionist entity, the vaccines finally arrived in Gaza, where there is a large popular concentration. While the whole world is trying to stop the pandemic of COVID-19 and vaccination is, in this context, the stake of the moment, the attitude of Israel vis-à-vis the Palestinians is scandalous.
However, this information recalls a sad observation in Tunisia, a country which has not yet launched its vaccination campaigns. Indeed, to date, the authorities do not yet know the exact date of the arrival of the first lots of vaccine. This Wednesday, the Minister of Health announced that vaccine providers demand that Tunisia sign certain agreements relating to medical responsibility before the delivery of these first lots, ditto for the COVX initiative.
On February 14, the Minister, who supervised a white vaccination operation in Tunis, said that the first doses of vaccine, as part of the Covax initiative, will arrive in mid-February, without giving a specific date.
The vaccine still does not exist in Tunisia. By March, Tunisia will receive nearly 700 thousand free doses of coronavirus vaccines.
The representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Tunisia, Yves Souteyrand, confirmed that within the framework of the Covax initiative, 93,600 thousand doses of the anti-Cavid vaccine, produced by the Pfizer laboratory, will be received.
These doses will allow 47 thousand people to be vaccinated among the priority categories, including essentially health personnel while waiting for 600 thousand other doses of the vaccine produced by the Astrazeneca laboratory, which will be received next March.
