The American Agency for Medicines (FDA) confirmed on Wednesday February 24 the effectiveness of the unidiaose vaccine against the Coronavirus of Johnson & Johnson.
According to clinical trial analyzes carried out by the agency, this vaccine is 85.9% effective on the serious forms of the disease in the United States, 81.7% in South Africa and 87.6% in Brazil. All regions combined, the effectiveness of the vaccine, 28 days after vaccination, was 85.4% on the severe forms of the disease.
“The vaccine has a favorable security profile without specific security concerns identified which could prevent the issue of an emergency authorization for use,” said one.
