After seven years of closure, the French Embassy in Libya will open its doors.
French president Emmanuel Macron announced Tuesday that France will reopen, next Monday, his embassy in Tripoli.
“We will do everything in our power to defend this sovereignty and an agenda in the service of Libya,” said Emmanuel Macron at a press conference held with Mohamed Al Menfi, president of the Libyan presidential council.
“Our embassy in Tripoli will reopen on Monday and our ambassador will be back on your territory”.
Note that since July 2014, the date of closure of the embassy, the French ambassador is doing his job from Tunis.
