The Ever Given remitting, traffic resumes at the Suez Canal

“The way is free,” said an official involved in the Ever Given release operation. This morning, we announced an 80% discount “in the right direction”.

Cited by the Reuters agency, the authority of the Suez Canal (ACS) confirmed the resumption of traffic in the Suez Canal after the full delivery of the “Ever Given” container carrier.

The latter, with a length of 400 meters had stuck diagonally to the south of the canal on March 23, interrupting traffic on the shortest navigation road between Europe and Asia.

This blocking created a traffic jam of 425 ships and losses oscillating between three and 9.6 billion dollars for the world economy.
