Faced with a third fierce wave of coronavirus, French president Emmanuel Macron announced new measures aimed at slowing down the spread of the epidemic.
Macron announced a containment of four weeks, extended to the whole of French territory, the closure for three weeks of crèches, schools, colleges and high schools, a “systematized” telework and an adapted vaccination calendar according to age groups. These measures will come into force from Saturday evening.
The head of state also announced that inter-regional trips will be prohibited from April 5, except imperious reasons.
According to him, the resumption of the activities of the different sectors will take place in stages from mid-May.
