The World Health Organization (WHO) has warned of rallies as Ramadan and Easter approaches.
“Redesman in the spaces closed during the coming period could lead to a new wave of contamination in the coronavirus,” said WHO, calling countries that know generalized community contamination to “seriously” consider virtual meetings and meetings, to postpone gatherings or to reduce the number of people gathered.
“Whatever the place, all religious ceremonies should be held outdoors or be limited to the levels of the number of people present and duration, taking into account physical distancing, ventilation, hand hygiene and the use of masks,” it adds.
The organization also stressed that internal gatherings, even those with a limited number of participants, can be particularly risky.
