Denmark has decided to definitively give up the Astrazeneca vaccine against COVVI-19 because of its “rare” but “serious” side effects, the Danish health authorities announced this Wednesday, April 14, 2021.
They justified this decision by the appearance of “rare” but “serious” side effects caused by the administration of the vaccine.
Following this decision, Denmark becomes the first to abandon this vaccine in Europe despite the opinions of the European regulator and the WHO, which remain favorable to the use of the Astrazeneca vaccine.
