A goods transport truck collided with a herd of dromedaries, this Tuesday, August 19, 2025, on the regional road n ° 103 connecting Kébili to Gafsa, at the level of Khanguet Oum Ali. The accident caused the death of seven animals and three others were injured.
According to a source quoted by Mosaic FM, the accident occurred at the end of the day on the regional road axis connecting the governorates of Kébili and Gafsa.
The truck driver and his guide were also affected, with injuries of variable gravity.
The local authorities and the emergency services intervened quickly on the scene to take care of the victims and to release the road.
The incident aroused emotion in the region, where dromedaries breeding constitutes a traditional activity.
