Qatar, the organizing country of the World Cup, lost this Friday, November 25, against Senegal, by three goals to one, on behalf of the second day of group A of the first round of the World Cup.
This is the second loss in a row for the Qataris after that conceded during the inaugural match against the Ecuador (Editor’s note, 2 goals to zero). The team are thus eliminated in the first round.
Qatar thus becomes the second organizing country of the World Cup to leave the competition in the first round, after South Africa in 2010.
