The capital of Guinea, Conakry, was the scene of security disorders against the backdrop of attempted military coup in the country.
The coup attempt was led by elements of the special army unit, reports Jeune Afrique who notes that the area where the presidential palace has been subject to intense bombardment since this morning.
The magazine revealed that President Alpha Condé, 83, is in the palace and was not injured. The putschists have announced that they have captured Condé and dissolved the Constitution.
