“I reaffirm our determination to continue what we have started,” Reacted Libyan Prime Minister Abdelhamid Dbeibah to the vote of confidence with his government.
The Libyan Parliament voted yesterday Tuesday a motion of censorship against the government of the Prime Minister, aggravating the tensions between rivals.
For its part, the United Nations support mission in Libya said that “the holding of presidential and parliamentary elections on December 24, 2021 must remain the primordial objective”, confirming that the current executive “remains the legitimate government until it is replaced by another government in the context of a process ordered after the elections”.
Note that the vote took place during a closed session in the presence of the President of the Parliament Aguila Saleh, an eastern Libyan cacic and weight of weight of Marshal Haftar.
