What is behind the interruption of Facebook, Messenger, Instagram and Whatsapp services for almost seven hours, Monday, October 4, 2021?
Billion users of Facebook, Instagram, its application of photo sharing, and Whatsapp and Messenger, its messaging applications, had no more access to their services until midnight.
Facebook published a statement in the night to explain that the major breakdown of its networks and messaging was caused by a “defective configuration change” of its servers, which prevented its users from accessing the platform, Instagram, Whatsapp or Messenger for about seven hours.
This configuration change caused a breakdown to the routers thus causing an interruption of communications and network traffic, specifies Facebook which apologized to its users.
