In Sudan, armed individuals have arrested several leaders including ministers and civil members of the Sovereignty Council.
According to the Ministry of Information, the soldiers, who launched their operation this Monday, October 25, 2021, also arrested Sudanese Prime Minister Abdallah Hamdok, who refused to support a “coup”.
Calls for disobedience in the face of this blow were launched on Twitter, despite the internet cut in the whole country this Monday and hundreds of demonstrators went down to the streets to protest the arrests.
