The Libyan electoral commission has announced that Saïf Al-Islam Gaddafi is not eligible for presenting itself to the next presidential elections of the country, which must be held next December.
The commission also excluded Nouri Bousahmine, Ali Zidane, Mohamed Cherif and Bechir Saleh from the list of presidential candidates.
It should be noted that the Libyan electoral commission announced this evening on Wednesday, a “preliminary list” of 73 presidential candidates, including Khalifa Haftar.
Recall that Seif Al-Islam, son of former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, had presented his official candidacy on November 14, 2021 to the presidential election scheduled for December.
“Seif al-Islam Gaddafi personally submitted his application file to the electoral commission in Sebha, in the south of the country,” announces the Al-Marsad newspaper.
