The suspense is finally lifted: the national operator Tunisia Telecom and our tennis champion Ons Jabeur have just renewed their partnership for the 3rd consecutive year.
At the end of a year rich in lessons, victories, titles, accomplishments and celebrations, this now famous Tunisian sponsor / sponsor duo signed the pursuit of their fruitful collaboration and leave together for new adventures expected by their communities and all our fellow citizens.
Indeed, we are in December 2020, Ons Jabeur is a young Tunisian prodigy, a pioneer who climbed slowly but surely in the illustrious WTA classification to reach 36th place, thus making a path in this sometimes harsh world of world tennis with the aim of becoming number 1.
Tunisie Telecom believed in the dream and wanted to support this talented athlete who already had nothing to envy to the greatest, an ambitious and determined Tunisian woman who has never ceased, since her 16 years old, to persevere and high and loudly hoist our national emblem, as attests to the recent classification which puts it on top Tunisian personalities having contributed the most to the image of Tunisia.
And the miracle is accomplished … We are 2 years later, a good prodigious in the ranking, an icon for the Arab world, African and for young people in general.
The one that the international media qualified as ontoppable, marked world tennis of an indelible trace by winning not one but two WTA 500 and 1000 tournaments, accessing the final of two Grand Chelem tournaments, participating in the WTA Masters 2022 and by making a remarkable and noticed entry into the top of the WTA ranking until reaching 2nd place in the world!
By also winning this week the Peace and Sport Prix of Peace Champion of the year 2022 for having carried out a significant and sustainable sports initiative, towards a peaceful change.
Beyond the valuation of this impressive record, the duo Tunisia Telecom and Ons Jabeur have mainly succeeded, in the last two years, in arouing the interest, the enthusiasm and the support of a whole people for a sporting discipline formerly deemed elitist but which today has multiplied by 30 the number of its licensees throughout the national territory.
