The Chedly Zouiten stadium remains an enigma for all Tunisians. For years, we have announced to Cor and Cri that this stage requires a total renovation … For years, we have redeveloped in this stage which now accepts only intermittently of friendly matches behind closed doors.
And yet, each time it comes back in the news of the news, this stage reappears with its problems. Currently, the Hamadi Agrebi stadium is closed for an annual interview, the El-Menzah stadium is in complete renovation, which obliges the two clubs of the capital, the African club and the Tunis to fall back on it.
Unfortunately, this will not be possible before December 20, as confirmed by Imed Dabbabi, president of the Youth and Sports Committee at the municipality of Tunis. The latter said today, on the Mosaique FM that the Chedly Zouiten stadium will not be ready before December 20, 2022, after the maintenance of the lawn.
He said that the municipality of Tunis and the municipal district of El Menzah had carried out the work necessary for the redevelopment of the stadium to host matches, adding that the expenses exceeded 250 thousand dinars.
Imed Dabbabi, however, said that the real problem that prevents Matc’s organization at the Chedly Zouiten stadium is security knowing that this stadium can accommodate 18 thousand spectators.
Consequence: ES Tunis will welcome, next Sunday, the Sfaxian CS at the Hammam-Lif municipal stadium to play its Ligue 1 late match.
