A first case of variant omicron was detected in France. He is a man residing in Ile-de-France, detected on his return from a trip to Nigeria, announced, this Thursday, December 2, the Regional Health Agency (ARS).
The man, not vaccinated against covid, had no symptoms at the time of the test, according to the same source.
His wife, who accompanied him on this trip, was tested positive for COVID-19 and a sequencing is underway to check if it is also the omicron variant.
