A third journalist covering the World Cup in Qatar died. It is Roger Pearce, 65, disappeared on November 21, but whose death was only announced this Tuesday, December 13, 2022.
His death was announced today by the International Press Association. Roger Pearce covered the World Cup for the ITV television group and died shortly before the game between the United States and Wales.
This death is added to the other two already announced among journalists covering the World Cup. On Saturday, the Qatari photographer of the Al-Kass channel, Khalid al-Misslam died suddenly.
The day before, American journalist Grant Wahl, 48, died by covering the quarter-final of the 2022 World Cup between Argentina and the Netherlands.
