Europe enjoys a ceasefire according to the WHO

Despite an explosion of COVID-19 cases on the continent, the end of winter, the nature of the omicron variant and vaccination now make it possible to control the effects of the virus, is welcoming the World Health Organization.

Indeed, the WHO expressed its optimism about the pandemic this Thursday, February 3, 2022 during a press conference held online.

“Thanks to the current level of vaccination and the slightest severity of omicron, Europe has a respite comparable to a cease-fire which could lead to the end of the pandemic of Covid-19,” said WHO.

The pandemic is not over but we are in the unique situation to be able to take control and we should not spoil this opportunity, “said Hans Kluge, Regional Director of the World Health Organization (WHO) at an online press conference.
