Libyan Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dbeibeh would have escaped an assassination attempt, in the dawn of this Thursday, February 10, 2022.
According to a source close to the manager and quoted by Reuters, strangers opened fire on Dbeibeh’s car in the early hours of this morning when he returned home.
No official declaration has yet been published by the Dbeibeh office or the Ministry of the Interior about this incident.
Dbeibeh was appointed in March 2021 at the head of the government of national unity supported by the United Nations, which aimed to unite the divided institutions of the country and to supervise the preparation of the December elections, as part of a peace process.
