Huge scandal in Switzerland where the banking group Crédit Suisse is implicated by several media for having hosted dozens of billions of euros in criminal or illicit funds.

The international survey was conducted by the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP), a consortium bringing together 47 media, including the world, The Guardian, Miami Herald, Nacion, following an important leak of data awarded anonymously more than a year ago to the German daily Süddeutsche Zeitung.

This survey published this Sunday, February 20, 2022, ensures that Crédit Suisse hosted more than 18 thousand bank accounts related to crime, money laundering and corruption and belonging to 37 thousand people or companies between the early 1940s and the end of the 2010s.

It is in this context that the journalist and director of the Alqatiba site, Walid Majri revealed, this Monday, February 21, 2022, that his site will publish a series of investigations on the involvement of Tunisian politicians and economic groups.

This survey, which should be published over the next two weeks in collaboration with dozens of international media includes the names of candidates for the recent presidential elections in Tunisia, who have turned out to have illegal accounts in this Swiss bank.

The international survey reveals that in total, more than 100 billion Swiss francs (more than 95 billion euros) are affected by the 18 thousand accounts in question.
