A Russian delegation arrived this Sunday, February 27, 2022, in Belarus to start negotiations with Ukraine, reported the Interfax news agency citing a spokesperson for Kremlin.
According to the same source, the Russian delegation includes officials from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Defense and the Office of President Vladimir Putin and awaits the arrival of their Ukrainian counterparts in Gomel, Belarus.
For his part, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he was still ready to hold talks, but in other places “which are not hostile to Ukraine”.
To this end, he cited Warsaw, Bratislava, Istanbul, Budapest or Bakou as alternative places to negotiate.
