Those who were invited to the residence of His Excellency the French Ambassador to Tunisia, at La Marsa, on the occasion of the first audiovisual days of Tunis, were not asked to meet with large figures of the arts and letters and other artists and notable French thinkers. The multiple rooms of the residence have hardly contained the many guests, also came to attend the ceremony for the delivery of insignia of the French cultural order to a few famous names in the literary and plastic landscape in Tunisia. Ceremony chaired by the first friend of Tunisia, the French Minister of Culture and Communication, Mr. Frédéric Mitterrand who warmly welcomed all the presents and expressed all his friendship for this country and his thinkers.
A very benevolent welcome to all, with a nice and generous buffet, which the hundreds of guests have gathered.
Only, and in contrast to all this, Monday October 25 at the end of the afternoon, on the occasion of the award of the “French Embassy in Tunisia” prize for the best achievement of a hope of the audiovisual and cinematographic sphere, awarded it must be reminded of our “compatriot” Hafsia Harzi, nobody came to welcome Mr. Frédéric Mitterrand on his arrival at the City of Tunis, Not seen someone JCC or other accompany our host…?
Two situations to say the least “amazing”, even funny to justify: the first where a crazy world has invaded the said residence and the second where barely a few names of the local cultural landscape took the trouble to move and give the same to our hosts!
Cultural hunger can never win on physiological hunger …
