51 years old, Brent Renaud, a former video journalist of the New York Times, was killed by bullets this Sunday, March 13, 2022 in Irpine in Ukraine where he covered the Russian invasion.
According to the AFO agency, it was in Irpin, a few kilometers northwest of kyiv, attacked and bombed by the Russians for more than a week.
The American video journalist was killed in front of the bridge which delimits the border between Irpin and Boutcha, this last city being held by the Russians. His two comrades were injured, the doctor who took care of the victims told AFP.
“A 51 -year -old world renowned press correspondent has been killed today in Irpin,” wrote Andrei Nebitov, police chief in the kyiv region.
