Blow of grace for summer festivals?

The incidents having punctuated the football meeting between the African club and the Hilal of Sudan are likely to cause the pure and simple suspension of summer festivals.

Indeed, the security conditions being what they are, it is difficult to see “stadiers” and agents of the order ensuring protective cords before scenes which risk being invaded by the public at any time.

Unless festivals, this year, take place on camera as pointed out with a touch of irony, several observers.

On another level, the Ministry of Culture continues to prepare this summer deadline, despite the precarious conditions that surrounded public gatherings in recent weeks.

On the one hand, emissaries were sent to the Machrek countries to sketch the international program. On the other hand, a global envelope of 5 billion has been released for these summer festivals which, this year, should favor Tunisian artists and disadvantaged regions.

Finally, our sources at the Ministry of Culture suggest that Mr. Ali Louati would be appointed director of the Carthage Festival and Mr. Ezzeddine Madani, Director of the Hammamet Festival.

Like what the Youth Revolution is an authentic salvation board for all septuagenarians, underlines Narquois a cultural journalist for the new generation.

There will be a central question: will festivals take place well? Nothing allows to assert it today.
