The Lebanese Deputy Prime Minister Saadé Chami announced that “the State and the Bank of Lebanon (BDL) are bankrupt”.
During a television interview broadcast yesterday, Sunday, on the al-Jadeed channel, the manager said that the state is bankrupt and that the distribution of losses will be attributed to the actors concerned, namely the State, the BDL, the banks and the citizens.
He pointed out that KPMG audit the Bank of Lebanon, and that it already undertakes an inventory of the quantities of gold in its possession.
