Ons Jabeur loses a place in the WTA ranking and finds himself 3rd in the world

Tunisian tenniswoman Ons Jabeur has lost its world’s number 2 place in the WTA ranking, updated this Monday, January 30, 2023, to find itself 3rd after being exceeded by the Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka.

Aryna Sabalenka climbs in second place in the world after winning the Australian Open on Saturday and pocketing 1760 points which allow him to total 6100 points and settle in 2nd position, thus relegating Ons Jabeur (+70 points) in 3rd place in the world (5210 points).

On the side, the Polish IGA Swiatek has retained her world number 1 place, totaling 10,485 points, while the American Jessica Pegula (5000 points) and the French Carolina Garcia (4645 points), both regressed the 4th and 5th place respectively.

For its part, the Kazakhe Elena Rybakina, a finalist in Australia, leaps 15 places to access the world top 10 (10th).

Recall that in Melbourne, Ons Jabeur, was eliminated from the 2nd round of the Australian Open when she was one of the favorites to the final victory whenryna Sabalenka won her first title of the Grand Chelem on Saturday.
