The price of a barrel of oil recorded, yesterday Monday, April 11, 2022, its lowest level since the triggering of hostilities in Ukraine.
Thus, the barrel of the global reference crude, the Brent, experienced a 4.2%drop, to be exchanged at 98.48 dollars, while the American crude has dropped by 4%, to stabilize at $ 94.29, its lowest level since February 25.
This constitutes a notorious drop if we compare this price with that of $ 130.50 recorded at the height of the increase in the price of the barrel last month.
This drop is due, among other things, to the decision of many countries, the United States at its head, to draw on its strategic oil reserves in order to balance the hydrocarbon market.
