Due to the war that Russia conducted in Ukraine, France has immobilized to date on its territory a total of 23.7 billion euros in Russian assets, including real estate.

On the other hand, France has similarly immobilized four cargos, four yachts, including the latest, Tuesday in Marseille, for a value greater than 125.2 million euros, six helicopters for a value greater than 60 million euros, and for 7 million euros in works of art.

It is expected that France also immobilizes some 33 real estate including 19 real estate companies, and that 10 others will be incessantly seized.

… And Holland confiscates 13 yachts

The Netherlands announced the confiscation of 13 yachts belonging to Russian citizens, within the framework of the sanctions of the European Union against Russia because of the war which it waged in Ukraine.

Dutch Foreign Minister Wopke Hoekstra said in a statement that yachts confiscated by Dutch customs were with 5 different companies, specialized in the yacht industry.

Hoekstra added that confiscated yachts were subject to a “strict” surveillance and inspection process, indicating that 12 of them are under construction, while the last one is under maintenance.

In the same context, the Netherlands had so far confiscated property belonging to Russian citizens, estimated at 516 million euros, in addition to the freezing of other goods worth 155 million euros.
