The war in Ukraine continues to rage. And with it, propaganda is in full swing. On the Russia 1 channel, analysts mentioned the Sarmat missiles, which could reach Paris in just “200 seconds”.
These debates on Russian state television take on an increasingly worrying turn, journalists have fun calculating the time that it would take this missile to reach the various European capitals.
The Intercontinental Sarmat ballistic missile, also known as “Satan 2”, is a weapon renowned for being able to shave a country of a size equivalent to that of France.
The Russian army had also announced, on April 20, the first “successful” test of its sarmat. No anti -missile defense technology would above all be able to stop it. According to Vladimir Putin, this fifth generation heavy heavy intercontinental ballistic missile would be capable of “thwarting all modern anti-aircraft systems”.
Its official name is “RS-28 Sarmat”. It was developed to replace the aging “R-36M” missiles which were nicknamed “Satan” by NATO experts.
The missile would have a capacity of action of 10,000 kilometers and could contain up to twelve nuclear heads, giving it the capacity to destroy in a few seconds a territory “the size of Texas or France”, according to information from Russian television.
For its part, the Pentagon reacted to the “routine” test of the Russian army, considering that it was “not a threat”. Reassuring!
